      • Launch Point with concrete stairs and Free Parking.

      • Paddling south downstream: 3 miles to Launch Point State Route 125 Public Access, 6 miles to Creeks Bend Public Access, and 11.5 mile to the Ohio River with Brush Creek Campground & Marina (Dock Fee).

      • A 25.1 mile drive or 34 minute drive from McChesney Ridge.

Lake Vesuvius

  • The Lake Vesuvius is the Wayne National Forest's premier developed recreation site. The rugged hills and out-cropping cliffs provide a scenic backdrop for this historical and beautiful site. It contains a 143-acre lake, a beach and swim area, multiple picnic areas, fishing, boating, hiking, scenic overlook and an archery trail. Canoes and kayaks available to rent from May to September.
